Dante B.

Dante gave me this wedding ring on Thursday July 9th 2009

Dante speaking:

This is the object, which is my wedding ring and I am giving you this because very recently my marriage came to a conceptual stop. This is probably one of the last remaining physical evidences of it. I was thinking about what it means. What everybody says, that you should close circles, and this is a circle. And to me, reading about your project, what you told me about it, I think it’s a nice way to letting go because supposedly a golden ring it’s something that even beyond the sentimental value, it has a monetary value and most people wouldn’t probably just give it away.

To me it’s a nice way of letting go. I wore it last night, just to wear it for the last time, and I am glad to give it to you.

It also symbolizes something that is very valuable in my life. I spent many beautiful years with this person and do not want to have this object reminding me everyday about this, but stored in some box or something. I would rather just to have the memory in my head and just give you that.

Some interesting lamps in Dante's house.

After giving me his wedding ring, we went to buy books and ate tacos.
