Ana E. gave me this piggy bank Wednesday August 5th 2009. |
Ana E. speaking:
This is my object and it’s important for me because the person who gave it to me is an ex-boyfriend with whom I have been for a very long two years relationship. It was in the beginning and it was in the first trip that we did outside of Mexico, with his family.
He gave it to me and from that moment started a series of gifts from him, like these little pigs. It’s symbolic because it is also a bank and it was to save money to keep traveling and being together. It’s special because that person was very dear to me and I kept it with lots of love. He is still very special to me.
Recently, I gave away lots of things that I kept, because we are always storing and storing and storing things. This was one of the few things that I kept, that I didn’t want to give away.
I like it a lot. I had it for three years. I used it for some time but I am not using it anymore, I don’t put money inside anymore.

Ana lives with her parents in this house. |

As we arrived, Ana offered us coffee and chocolate cake. |

Ramiro took this photo trying to imitate my style.
|

There is an orange tree in the back yard of the house.
|

Mexican table cloth used a backdrop for photo shoots in Ana's room.

 |

After the recording, Ana made a portrait of Ramiro and I for her blog.
|

On that painting, the bird looks strangely like my parrot. |

Crisps of tortillas left on the grass for the birds (maybe). |
 |

As we left, Ana took 5 oranges off the tree and gave it to me. |
